Life was never perfect but, before the Burgeroids, it had its highs. They started as a marketing concept for The Product. Planet X fed on The Product and The Product fed on the inhabitants of Planet X. The more they consumed, the more they were consumed. The Burgeroids were not consumed. They replicated and became more powerful. They became the power on Planet X... poor Planet X, all scorched and poisoned. The Burgeroids could stay and die or look for pastures new.
