Stop the EU chemical tests

The European Commission has proposed a new chemical testing programme - and a new report suggests that the number of animals that the EU is proposing to kill might top 50 million.

The proposed EU chemical testing programme would involve the testing of up to 100,000 existing chemicals over a 20 year period. All of these chemicals are already on the market, but most were in use prior to 1981 when there was no obligation on the manufacturers to test them.
